HEKLA SAUNAS · POSH SPAS GUIDE
What does a HEKLA sauna cost?
The cabin price is only one part of the decision. The final project can also include the heater, controls, delivery, assembly, groundwork and electrical work.
Current HEKLA UK starting prices
| Range | Entry model | From |
|---|---|---|
| Infrared | Infrared 100 | £2,999 |
| Traditional indoor | Traditional 160 | £4,899 |
| Cabin outdoor | Mini Cabin | £6,399 |
| Barrel outdoor | Barrel 210 | £7,099 |
| Cube outdoor | Cube 160 | £7,599 |
These are HEKLA UK “from” prices checked 23 September 2026. Configuration and installation costs can change the final figure.
What changes the installed price?
Traditional models can have different heater/control choices. Outdoor projects may need a concrete or reinforced-paving base. Electric traditional heaters need a suitable dedicated circuit and certified electrical connection. Wood-fired models need the correct flue and safe siting. Delivery access and assembly requirements also vary by property.
Running cost
Multiply the heater’s kW rating by the number of hours it is drawing power, then multiply by your electricity unit rate. A 2.4 kW infrared cabin uses far less peak power than a 9 kW traditional heater, and infrared also needs much less warm-up time. A traditional heater cycles once the cabin reaches temperature, so a simple kW × total session time calculation is usually a conservative estimate rather than an exact bill.
Example method
If your electricity rate is 25p/kWh, a 2.4 kW device running at full draw for one hour would cost up to 60p. A 9 kW heater at full draw for one hour would cost up to £2.25. Real use varies with warm-up, thermostat cycling, outside temperature and insulation.
