All of our Platinum Spas hot tubs and swim spas are heat pump ready! This simply means they are all compatible and easily installed with a heat pump. With the rising costs of energy suppliers a Heat Pump has never been more important to keeping your heating costs low on a hot tub.
How it works
A heat pump for a hot tub works by extracting heat from the surrounding air and transferring it to the water, making it a highly energy-efficient way to maintain water temperature.
Instead of generating heat directly like a traditional electric heater, a heat pump uses a refrigerant cycle to absorb heat from the air, compress it to increase its temperature, and then transfer that heat to the hot tub water via a heat exchanger. This process can be up to 4 times more efficient than standard electric heating, significantly reducing energy costs while keeping the water warm year-round.
